Neither the driver nor the victim has been identified and law enforcement has not disclosed whether they have pressed charges, ClickOrlando.com reported. The Florida Highway Patrol told the Daily Caller that they “don’t list names on our press releases unless the individual was arrested.”

A press release obtained by the Caller confirmed the driver was a 75-year-old woman.

The driver of the cart did not suffer any injuries after the crash and the incident is currently under investigation, according to WFTV.com, citing investigators and troopers.

In September 2024, a 54-year-old Virginia man was killed in his own backyard after his golf cart overturned and landed on top of him. Additionally, Bonnye Mavis Lear, a 60-year-old employee at the Disneyland Resort in California, died in June that same year after she fell off a moving golf cart.
