Man pretending to be a woman charged with breaking into home to rape toddler

A Canadian man who purports to be a woman allegedly broke into a family’s home over the weekend and sexually assaulted a child under the age of five.

Police told Global News that they received a “medical assistance call involving a child under the age of 5” right before 9 a.m. Sunday morning.

When they arrived on the scene, they noticed that the front door had been forcibly opened. The victim, meanwhile, was taken to a hospital, where they remained until at least Wednesday, “receiving care.”

Thanks to video surveillance, the police were able to quickly identify the suspect as Daniel “Dani” Senecal, a 25-year-old man who pretends to be a woman on social media:

He’s since been charged with aggravated sexual assault on a person under 16, assault, assault/choking, break and enter, and sexual interference with a person under 16.

According to a separate report from the National Post, Senecal knew the family and the victim.

And according to the guy seen in this X video that X will not allow to be embedded elsewhere, Senecal knew the family well enough that their daughter — whom the guy claims is three — used to call him “uncle.”

The man in the X video also claimed that the victim needed “hours of reconstructive surgery for vaginal and anal damage.”

Koreen Perry, a friend of the victim’s family, described the victim as a very happy, cheery child.

“This little girl is always happy and loving,” she said. “I look forward to always seeing her sweet face. This past Friday, she was walking by, she stopped and looked in my door. I waved, and she gave me the biggest smile and waved.”

“She honestly reminded me of the girl in that show, The Little House on the Prairie, who is smiling and running in the opening, and the little girl falls but gets up and keeps laughing. It’s scary to see how things can happen in your own home when you’re sleeping. We’ll be burning that bed before she gets home,” she added.

Another mother who lives in the area where Sunday’s assault occurred confirmed to the National Post that Senecal is the same freak who sexually assaulted her son in 2021.

“She said the attack on her son largely mirrored the allegations in the weekend attack, including a nighttime sexual assault, although he did not break into the home as he was a guest at a relative’s house,” the Post notes.

“She said he was arrested, charged, and after two years of court hearings was sentenced to 18 months in jail, but was released six months early, in early March,” the reporting continues.

“That poor little girl, my heart breaks,” the mother said anonymously. “To be honest, I feel like I failed. I feel like I failed to get him locked up longer.”

“I feel like I failed as a parent to protect any other children from getting hurt. When I seen [a picture of him], my heart sunk. I felt like I wasn’t heard enough by the probation officer. The fact that the justice system did not do more makes me hurt,” she added.

Making matters worse is the fact that under Ontario law, where the attack occurred, so-called transgender criminals like Senecal tend to be housed with women.

This attack comes just a week or so after another man, purporting to be a woman, shot up a school in Minneapolis, killing two very young children.
