‘These are paid terrorists – we’re going to wipe them out’

Faced with ferocious resistance from Illinois Democrats over his plans to expand his violent crime crackdown to Chicago, President Donald J. Trump could be setting his sights on another left-wing hellhole further west than the Windy City.

Portland, Oregon, which was once a pristine jewel of the Pacific Northwest, has long been besieged by Antifa and other left-wing militants who have been allowed to run amok for years by the feckless, criminal-enabling Democrat leadership.

On Friday, the president suggested that the National Guard could soon be dispatched to the “Rose City” to get the situation under control, a move that, if made, will surely draw howls of “Fascism!” and “Hitler!” from Democrats and their lackeys in the media.

“I will say this, I watched today, I didn’t know that was continuing to go on, but Portland is unbelievable, what’s going on in Portland, the destruction of the city,” Trump said from the Oval Office on Friday, where he signed an executive order renaming the Defense Department to the Department of War, its original name.

“Are you going into Portland?” one reporter asked.

“Well, I’m gonna look at it now because I didn’t know that was still going on,” Trump replied. “This has been going on for years. So we’ll be able to stop that very easily, we’ll be able to stop, but you know, that was not on my list, Portland, but when I watched television last night, this has been going on: you wouldn’t be standing, if you were the mayor, you wouldn’t be, can you imagine what they’re doing?”

“They’re walking and throwing smoke bombs into store; these are paid terrorists, ok? These are paid agitators, these are professs..I watched that last night, I’m very good at this stuff — these are paid agitators,” the president continued.

“Those signs aren’t made in basements. They’re made in professional printing offices, and they cost a lot of money,” he added.

It’s not clear what footage Trump was referring to, but there has been plenty posted to X, with one example being a guillotine that was rolled out at the Portland Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) field office earlier in the week during another demonstration by the insurrectionists.

“For misguided protestors, who don’t have the first idea what the ICE mission is, to call for beheading officers is unhinged behavior,” an ICE spokesperson told Fox News Digital this week.

“Our ICE law enforcement officers are now facing a 1,000% increase in assaults against them. The men and women of ICE put their lives on the line every day to arrest violent criminal illegal aliens to protect and defend the lives of American citizens,” the ICE spox added. “Politicians and activists must turn the temperature down and tone down their rhetoric.”

“These are paid agitators and they’re very dangerous for our country, and when we go there, if we go to Portland, we’re gonna wipe ’em out,” Trump continued. “They’re gonna be gone and they’re gonna be gone fast — they won’t even stand to fight. They will not stay there.”

“They’ve ruined that city, he added. I have people that used to live in Portland, they’ve left, most of them have left, but what they’ve done to that place is just, it’s like living in hell.”

Portland’s Democratic Mayor Keith Wilson doesn’t want any of Trump’s help with his crime problem.

“Like other mayors across the country, I have not asked for – and do not need – federal intervention,” Wilson said, according to Fox 12 Oregon.

“We are proud that Portland police have successfully protected freedom of expression while addressing occasional violence and property destruction that takes place during protests at the ICE facility in Portland,” hizzoner added.

“We anticipate that the site, and the half-block surrounding it, will continue to be a focus of protests. Portland will continue to rise to the moment as a proud sanctuary city, taking legal action to stand up for our community and our rights,” Wilson added, touting lawfare as the Democrats’ preferred weapon of their resistance to Trump, and law and order.
