Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson dropped a bombshell into the middle of the Democrats’ Jeffrey Epstein hoax-mongering, telling CNN that President Donald J. Trump was working with the feds to take the notorious pervert down.
This week, Congress returned from its latest vacation, and Democrats quickly moved to stage a publicity stunt parading several alleged Epstein victims in front of the media with the help of embittered Israel-hating GOP Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), who seems to have an ax to grind with Trump.
But the efforts to concoct a narrative that the president and Epstein were best buddies for years could become more complicated with Johnson’s remarks that Trump was an “FBI informant” assisting with efforts to put an end to the sex-trafficking pedophile financier’s sordid operations.

When pressed by reporter Manu Raju about Trump calling the sudden concern about Epstein from Democrats a “hoax,” the GOP leader responded with a stunner.
“What Trump is referring to is the hoax that the Democrats are using to try to attack him. He has never said or suggested or implied—I’ve talked to him about this many times, many times. He is horrified. It’s been misrepresented. He’s not saying that what Epstein did is a hoax, it’s a terrible, unspeakable evil. He believes that himself,” Johnson told Raju.
“When he first heard the rumor, he kicked him out of Mar-a-Lago. He was an FBI informant to try to take this stuff down,” he added, throwing Democrats and their friends what could turn out to be a wicked curveball. “The president knows and has great sympathy for the women who have suffered these unspeakable harms. It’s detestable to him.”
“He and I have spoken about this as recently as 24 hours ago. What he’s talking about is the Democrats who are doing this with impure motives. If they cared so much about this, why didn’t they do something during the four years of the Biden administration when the Biden DOJ had all the records?” Johnson asked, referring to the lack of interest in Epstein during the previous administration, perhaps the most corrupt in history.
“They didn’t say a word about it. Now they’re doing it for political purposes—not everybody, but a lot of them,” the speaker continued. “And that’s what the president’s frustrated about. And we all are that they’re creating a hoax just like they did with the Russian dossier because they think it’s going to somehow be mud thrown on him. It’s not.”
“He has no culpability in this thing at all,” Johnson told the CNN reporter. “The president has clean hands. He wants all the records out; he has told me that himself.”
Trump sought to bring an end to the Democrat scam about Epstein in a smoking Friday Truth Social post.
“The confused and badly failing Democrat Party did nothing about Jeffrey Epstein while he was alive except befriend him, socialize with him, travel to his Island, and take his money! They knew everything there was to know about Epstein, but now, years after his death, they, out of nowhere, are seeming to show such love and heartfelt concern for his victims. Does anybody really believe that? Where were they during his very public trials, and for all of those years before his death? The answer is, “nowhere to be found,” Trump wrote.
“This is merely another Democrat HOAX, just like Russia, Russia, Russia, and all of the others, in order to deflect and distract from the great success of a Republican President, and the record setting failure of the previous Administration, and the Democrat Party,” he added. “The Department of Justice has done its job, they have given everything requested of them. It’s time to end the Democrat Epstein Hoax…”
