Absolutely nasty work by YES Network.
The New York Yankees hosted the Detroit Tigers in a Wednesday contest at Yankee Stadium, and it was special for two reasons: 1. It was the 24th anniversary of Sept. 11, with New York feeling a major impact from the horrific attacks with the World Trade Center being in the city, and 2. President Donald Trump was in attendance at the game, which came just a day after the Charlie Kirk assassination.
But, of course, things can never go smoothly because of blatant disrespect here in 2025. (RELATED: Sports World Honors Charlie Kirk After Assassination)
In between innings, the Yankees held a moment of remembrance for 9/11, and during so, they recognized Trump. YES Network was showing the scene, however, when they got to Trump receiving applause, they cut the broadcast right in the middle of it to go to a commercial about 2026 Yankees tickets.
It was absolutely disrespectful to the president, to our nation, to the victims of 9/11, and quite frankly, to their own city.

As far as the team themselves, they loved President Trump being in attendance.

Clean it up, YES Network. You’re way too iconic for this kind of nonsense.
