Authorities in Utah released new details Friday about the arrest of Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old former Utah Valley University student accused of assassinating Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk during his scheduled campus appearance earlier this week, as reported by The New York Post.
Gov. Spencer Cox, joined by FBI Director Kash Patel, confirmed at a press briefing that Robinson had expressed anger over Kirk’s visit in the days leading up to the shooting.
According to Cox, a family friend who had dinner with Robinson, recalled him ranting that he “didn’t like [Kirk] and the viewpoints he had.” The friend reported that Robinson described Kirk as “full of hate and spreading hate,” remarks that left others at the table unsettled.
Charlie Kirk’s assassin Tyler Robinson, 22, killed him because he hated his opinions and thought he was a fascist. Yet ironically, HE was the fascist, killing someone to silence their opposing views.

Robinson allegedly used a Mauser Model 98 bolt-action rifle with a scope during the attack. Investigators found three unfired casings inside the chamber, engraved with slogans and phrases reflecting left-wing and mocking messages.
One casing read, “Hey fascist! Catch!” alongside directional arrows, while another featured the words from the Italian anti-fascist song, “Oh bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao ciao ciao.”

A third was inscribed with, “If you read this, you are gay LMAO.” The fired casing from the rifle was etched with, “notices, bulges, OWO, what’s this?”

Officials confirmed that Robinson’s father, a retired sheriff’s deputy, played a key role in turning him in. After the FBI released photos of the suspect, Robinson’s father recognized him and confronted him when he returned home.
Robinson initially told his father he would rather kill himself than surrender. The elder Robinson convinced his son to speak with their youth minister, who also serves as a task force officer with the U.S. Marshals Service.
The minister then contacted the FBI, and Robinson was taken into custody on Thursday night.

This is what happens when the media and Democrats label people fascists for having differing views.

Robinson’s roommate provided investigators with Discord messages the suspect sent after the shooting. These messages included instructions to retrieve a rifle hidden in a wooded area near campus and notes about changing clothes to avoid detection.
Photographs shared by Robinson’s mother on social media showed the family attending gun shows, sporting events, and vacations.

Public records searches revealed no prior criminal record for Robinson, leaving authorities to piece together his motivations and actions leading up to the shooting.
Gov. Cox opened Friday’s news conference by announcing, “We got him,” signaling the end of a 33-hour manhunt. FBI Director Patel closed his remarks with an emotional tribute to Kirk, stating, “See you in Valhalla.”
