Office Depot employee canned for refusing to print Charlie Kirk vigil posters

Office Depot had no interest in messing around with Charlie Kirk supporters after a viral video threatened to tarnish their brand.

While the assassination of Kirk has sent a shockwave through the political right, it’s also put a spotlight on the ghouls who lack the empathy they demand others have. On Friday, a video began circulating showing two employees of the office supply chain refusing to print posters advertising a local vigil for the slain political activist. Their reason? They deemed it “propaganda.”

That didn’t go over well, naturally, and it wasn’t long before the official Office Depot X account released a statement in which they said the associate involved was let go.

“We are deeply concerned by the incident that occurred at Store 3382 in Portage, Michigan. The behavior displayed by our associate is completely unacceptable and insensitive, violates our company policies, and does not reflect the values we uphold at Office Depot,” the statement reads. “We sincerely apologize to the customer affected and to our community for this regrettable situation.”

“Upon learning of the incident, we immediately reached out to the customer to address their concerns and seek to fulfill their order to their satisfaction,” it continues. “We also launched an immediate internal review and, as a result, the associate involved is no longer with the organization.”

They concluded the statement by affirming their commitment to “reinforcing training with all team members to ensure our standards of respect, integrity, and customer service are upheld at every location.”

X users gave the company some feedback on the situation:
