After the political assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, former NFL punter Chris Kluwe took to social media platform Bluesky where he seemingly mocked the founder of Turning Point USA.
Fired from his position as a high school football coach earlier in 2025 after branding the “Make America Great Again” movement as “Nazi,” Kluwe started things off by issuing praise to Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) in a post that featured several expletives. Warren dismissed the notion that the Democrats and their rhetoric is responsible for Kirk‘s assassination. “F*cking finally. Fight back against the bullsh*t framing that tries to make Dems responsible for everything. The GOP is choosing to create this kind of societal environment. They could stop it at any time. They have agency as well. They’re not f*cking children (except when, well, you know),” wrote Kluwe.
In an earlier post, Kluwe suggested that Kirk helped create “the kind of society he currently lives in.”

“It is possible to hold both of these things true at the same time: 1) political violence is never an appropriate choice in a civilized society 2) Charlie Kirk’s dream is to create exactly the kind of society he currently lives in, as spoken from his own mouth,” wrote Kluwe.
Not much longer after Kirk‘s assassination, Kluwe put up another post that seemingly mocked Kirk.

Following his firing from being a coach, Kluwe is now running for California state assembly.
