Caitlin Clark Hit With $200 Fine After Throwing Shade At WNBA Referees On Instagram

The WNBA is like Oprah when it comes to fines … one for you, one for you, and one for you too!

And their latest victim: none other than the phenom herself Caitlin Clark.

The face of the Indiana Fever, and the entire league while we’re at it, was dished out a $200 fine after she made comments on Instagram following the Fever’s 77-60 victory against the Atlanta Dream in Game 2 of the teams’ first-round postseason series. The social media post that Clark responded to included pictures of the Indiana bench going crazy during the win, with Clark replying, “Elite bench mob” and “Refs couldn’t stop us.” (RELATED: Saquon Barkley Slapped With Probably Most Ridiculous Fine Of All-Time After Steamrolling Chiefs Defender: REPORT)

Yeah, those last comments didn’t make the WNBA happy, and they issued the fine as a result. And Clark, well, all she did was troll the league about it.

“Got fined $200 for this lol,” Clark tweeted Saturday afternoon. “BENCH MOB WILL BE EVEN MORE ROWDY TOMORROW LETS GOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

The “bench mob” that Clark speaks of are Indiana’s five players who are out for the rest of the season with injuries. You’ve got Clark with her groin injury, Sophie Cunningham (torn MCL), Sydney Colson (torn ACL), Aari McDonald (broken foot) and Chloe Bibby (knee).

“That’s gonna really break the bank for her. Starting a GoFundMe now!” posted Cunningham in response to Clark’s fine, basically saying that Clark wipes her … err … you know what with $200 making millions of dollars in endorsements.

The WNBA solved nothing here … LMAO.
