White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller said on Fox News Wednesday that multiple charges could be on the table for former FBI Director James Comey.
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard referred Comey to the Department of Justice (DOJ) in July over alleged criminal activity tied to the Obama administration’s claims that Trump’s 2016 campaign colluded with Russia, while sources told NBC News that the DOJ is weighing charges against Comey. In an appearance on “The Ingraham Angle,” Miller wasted no time tearing into Comey, calling him “disgraced” and “corrupt.”
“Well, I don’t have any news to make on that subject or question, but I’m always happy to talk about former disgraced former FBI director James Comey, who, of course, is corrupt, who, of course, has been engaged in vast amounts of illicit and unlawful conduct, who, of course, was at the center of the Russiagate attack and assault on American democracy,” Miller said.
Miller said that figures like Comey, James Clapper, John Brennan and Lisa Monaco “worked tirelessly to dismantle democracy” and insisted their actions “have to lead somewhere to accountability.”

“There are so many people, Comey, Clapper, Brennan, Monaco, all across the government under previous administrations who have worked tirelessly to try to dismantle our democracy, and it has to lead somewhere to accountability,” Miller added.
A CIA memo released in July suggests Brennan and Comey may have perjured themselves when they testified under oath that the Steele Dossier did not form the basis of the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA). The memo, drawn from the CIA’s June review of the ICA, directly contradicts their sworn statements. (RELATED: Hillary Clinton Claims Democracy Now ‘Under Siege’ In US)
Then-CIA Director John Ratcliffe ordered the review, which determined that Brennan pushed to include the Steele Dossier in the ICA. Ex-British spy Christopher Steele compiled the dossier for Fusion GPS, a firm that Hillary Clinton’s campaign and Perkins Coie funded. The New York Times has since discredited it.
