Time spent abroad proved a reality check for one Biden-Harris supporting entrepreneur, as “a lot of things” he saw caused his turning toward President Donald Trump and “making the swing fast.”
Much as outcomes in California are often viewed as a portend for the rest of the nation should leftist policies stray further east of the San Andreas Fault, a glimpse across the pond is typically considered a peek even further down the slippery slope. So it was that Ari S. Goldberg’s time in London found him ready to ditch America Last for America First after a ride on the Tube left him with a “whole new perspective.”
In a post racking up views by the thousands, Goldberg spoke to those clamoring for accountability, telling them that he was witnessing in once-thriving cities where leftist policies were driving away “good quality people” and “attracting bad quality people.”
“After this ride on the London Tube, I got a whole new perspective. You know, one of the things as Americans — listen, obviously America, we’re more polarized than we’ve been in years. Republicans hate Democrats, Democrats hate Republicans, everybody hates everybody. Everybody’s on the extremes,” he said while contending that most people are in the middle before stating, “Say what you want about Trump, you all know I voted for Biden; I voted for Harris. I gotta be honest with you, I’m making the swing fast.”
@aris.goldberg I was on the London Underground when a guy turned to me and said, “For all his flaws, we want Trump here.” It caught me off guard — not because of the name, but because of the context. After a few weeks here, I understood what he meant. London feels tense. Crime is up. No one wears a nice watch. Everyone warns you to guard your phone. Even lifelong locals say they don’t feel safe anymore. Here’s what that conversation made me realize: • Safety and quality of life are collapsing in cities that once defined civilization • People don’t crave chaos — they crave order • When leadership fails, extremes start to look like solutions I voted for Biden. I voted for Harris. But traveling through Europe — seeing how bad it’s gotten in places like London — makes me understand why people want leaders who enforce accountability. This isn’t about politics. It’s about balance. We either have laws or we don’t. And every citizen — regardless of race, religion, or income — deserves to walk their city without fear. Do you think we’ve gone too far letting safety take a back seat to politics? #London #trump #londontown #maga ♬ Breaking News! – TheTrend
“There’s a lot of things going on in the world, a lot of things that I’m seeing in Europe, a lot of things I’m seeing in London…” he went on before recalling a chat with a guy in London who conveyed “for all [the president’s] shortcomings, they want Trump here.”
“Cause the crime is out of control, immigration is out of control,” said Goldberg, who added, “Listen, man, we’re either gonna have laws or we’re not.”
Adding context to his claim in the city where only weeks earlier radical protesters had dragged a Trump effigy through the streets with a MAGA-style hat that read, “Make Fascists Afraid Again,” the traveling investor detailed, “In London right now, every single person has told me, don’t walk with your phone out, don’t wear a watch in Mayfair, don’t do it, even right now I’m about to turn a corner on a street, I gotta worry about holding my phone because some moron might come by on an e-bike, try and grab it.”
Months before Goldberg shared his findings that Londoners hate the mayor and the police for not doing anything, he demonstrated a willingness to veer away from the party of former President Joe Biden and former Vice President Kamala Harris with an openness toward Elon Musk’s idea for a third party.
In response to a June poll from the world’s richest man, Goldberg wrote, “Yes brother need to do it. My friend and I have concepted a party we call The Radical Center and would love to talk to you about leading it. We are radicals, be we are centrists. Like you said for the 80% population not the 10% of extremes on either side that get all the media.”
