Podcaster Megyn Kelly ripped into former MSNBC host Joy Reid during an interview.
Miranda Devine of The New York Post sat down with Kelly, who did not mince words when it came to her ex-NBC colleague.
“Joy Reid is an insane lunatic who’s truly, honestly, extremely racist,” Kelly charged. “She’s never seen a white person who she likes.”
When it comes to success after going independent, Kelly could write the book. But she says the Reid will not see a drop of success launching her own podcast venture, and the reason is simple.
“Joy Reid is going to fail in the independent lane because she’s too toxic,” she predicted. “It’s not going to go well … she was super-racist, and NBC had enough of her and said, ‘We cannot be attached to this person any longer.’”
“The only people who have a possibility of being liked by Joy Reid, if they’re white, are people who will openly subjugate themselves to her,” groveling before the ex-host to “tell her how smart she is.”
Kelly also added that, in general, liberal media personalities who leave their outlets to pursue an independent career tend to see less success because they “don’t have to come over here” and “the left controls every single other outlet.” On the other hand, conservative pundits thrive in the independent media space because “there are no sacred cows.”
“I can say how I actually feel about any subject, and I do.”
Reid stirred up anger recently when she excitedly declared that she is the product of DEI.
As BizPac Review reported in August, Reid confirmed accusations that she is an “affirmative action baby,” proudly explaining that it’s how she got into Harvard.
“As many times as I have been called ‘DEI’ or ‘an affirmative action baby,’ you know what I never get? Mad. Because I am actually very much in favor of DEI,” Reid gushed. “I don’t take that as an insult, because I understand that that means that I’m just damn excellent and innovative, and yeah, I am DEI. I’m bringing diversity, and that’s bringing something great. You’re not insulting me.”
“If you say, ‘Oh you’re an affirmative action person that got into Harvard,’ I’m like yeah! I got into Harvard with affirmative action! And Yale! And Brown! And Vasser! And the University of Denver!” she enthusiastically continued.
MSNBC fired Reid in February, which she believes was related to the way she reported on President Donald Trump and Gaza.
“Anytime I would tweet anything, I would get calls — I would get, ‘Please get off Twitter, we hate it,’” Reid revealed in an interview with Katie Couric.
