An Ohio woman was charged with felonious assault after allegedly breaking into a man’s home and slicing his testicle, according to WTOL News.
Police say 45-year-old Jeanita Hopings forced her way into the Boothbay Drive residence Tuesday before attacking the unclothed man inside. She also faces an aggravated burglary charge, the outlet reported. The unidentified victim told officers he heard someone breaking in and ran downstairs “to see who it was.” (RELATED: ‘Just Out Of Instinct’: Bystanders Step In After Helicopter Crash Leaves Crew Member Trapped)
Court documents allege Hopings kicked in the man’s front door around midnight and slashed his scrotum “with an unknown instrument,” according to the outlet. She fled the scene, but the victim later identified her to police. The injury left his testicle “clearly exposed,” the affidavit said, according to the New York Post.

Hopings allegedly knew the victim, WTVG reported, though the outlet did not specify the nature of their relationship or a possible motive.
Police issued a warrant for Hopings’ arrest Wednesday. WTOL News published a 2012 booking photo from the Lucas County Corrections Center that appeared to show her smiling.
Neither the Lucas County Corrections Center nor the Toledo Police Department immediately responded to the Daily Caller’s request for comment.
A separate incident also struck Toledo this week. A 36-year-old woman was shot Tuesday afternoon while sitting in her car near Detroit and Buckingham avenues, WTVG separately reported.
