Man Tries To Walk Through 115 MPH Winds In France, And It Goes Exactly How You’d Expect

When a storm is pushing more than 100 mph wind gusts, most people don’t choose to take a walk, but photographer Thomas Soullet isn’t like most people as he attempted that exact challenge.

Soullet went up to Puy de la Tache’s mile-high peak, which is located in central France, doing so as Storm Benjamin slammed the nation Thursday. (RELATED: Northeast, Mid-Atlantic Could See Halloween Plans Ruined Thanks To Potential Spooky Nor’easter)

According to Soullet via FOX Weather, the altitude was 5,350 feet, and his mission was to see how hard it would be to walk through a massive headwind. Soullet said that gusts reached 115 mph (187 km/hr), which is the equivalent of a Category 3 hurricane.

Down from the mile-high peak at sea level, Meteo France recorded a 104 mph peak gust at Cagnano.
