Bodycam Footage Shows Florida Police Officer Making Incredible Headshot To Save Child Hostage From Knife-Wielding Thug

Insane bodycam footage shows a Florida police officer taking out a knife-wielding thug with a sole headshot, saving a child hostage with the quick response.

Video of the Sunday afternoon incident, which happened right outside of Tampa, shows Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Deputy Anthony Gonzalez kicking down a bedroom door after he heard a 7-year-old boy shouting for help.

Gonzales discovered a man who was wearing a motorcycle helmet and body armor while wielding a knife to the throat of the child. When the deputy raised his firearm and issued orders to the man to drop his knife, he refused to comply. Following multiple warnings, Gonzalez shot a single bullet to drop the criminal.

Later, the suspect was identified as Mario Camacho, the 27-year-old older brother of the boy he had a knife to, according to the New York Post. However, it wasn’t just that Camacho was holding a knife to his brother’s throat, he was also choking him.

Police were called by a family member regarding the assault, with Gonzalez and his team responding.

According to ABC7 WWSB, Comacho would later die at the hospital.

Gonzalez quickly pulled the little boy to safety following the headshot.

Per standard procedures, the police officer is currently on paid leave while an investigation is ongoing, per the New York Post.
