REPORT: Police Arrest Country Singer Todd Snider Who Was Injured After Alleged Assault

Police reportedly arrested Country singer Todd Snider after he was hospitalized to treat injuries sustained from an alleged assault outside his hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Snider’s team issued a statement on social media Monday saying the singer “sustained severe injuries” in a “violent assault,” but didn’t include any additional details surrounding the alleged incident.

The famous singer was seemingly upset about being discharged from the Salt Lake City Regional Hospital and allegedly yelled and swore at hospital staff, according to an arrest affidavit viewed by TMZ.

Police said he was told to leave the property, and he initially complied, the outlet reported. Law enforcement claimed he returned and “made verbal threats” to an alleged victim by getting in the individual’s face and declaring he was going to “kick [their] ass,” according to TMZ.

A Salt Lake City Sheriff Department spokesperson said he was released Monday to pretrial services, according to TMZ.

“We are heartbroken to announce the cancellation of the High, Lonesome and Then Some 2025 Tour dates,” Aimless Inc. noted on Snider’s Instagram account.

“Ahead of Todd Snider’s show in Salt Lake City, Todd sustained severe injuries as the victim of a violent assault outside of his hotel. Todd will be unable to perform for an undetermined amount of time. We deeply apologize for the cancellation and any inconvenience it causes. ”

“We appreciate your understanding as Todd receives needed medical treatment. We hope to have more information on new dates soon,” the statement continued. His team stopped short of providing details about the alleged encounter, and Snider’s team made no mention of an arrest.

The circumstances leading up to the alleged attack that left the star injured remain unclear.
