U.S. Marshals arrested former NFL receiver Antonio Brown on attempted murder charges more than four months after a warrant was issued in connection with a May shooting.
Brown is accused of firing into a crowd May 16 outside an amateur boxing event in Miami’s Little Haiti neighborhood, according to NBC News. Miami police spokesman Mike Vega confirmed the arrest to the outlet but did not say where Brown was taken into custody or how officers found him. The 37-year-old posted regularly on social media even as he appeared to evade police capture amid the active warrant.
At the end of October, Brown shared an Instagram video promoting BC Game that showed him grabbing keys to a Lamborghini, starting the engine and taking it for a drive. He captioned the clip, “Locked in, living good, and VIP energy hits different,” adding a diamond emoji and, “Appreciate the love!”
His last several posts had focused on promoting the online sports betting company.
Even after news of his arrest surfaced, Brown’s Thursday Instagram Story displayed his betting earnings. The post went up shortly after 4 p.m. EST.
Brown’s legal team did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller’s request for comment.
