The majority of the storms Friday that affected the Tennessee and Ohio Valleys concluded by Saturday morning.

A return of that severe weather is expected to take place Sunday, with the forecast center issuing a level 1 out of 5 severe threat that extends from Virginia to Florida in the Southeast, particularly on the coast. By Monday, the storms are expected to head out of the region.

The severe weather is moving in prior to a cold front that features arctic air that could potentially set new temperature records, with portions of the Southeast forecasted to experience a major dip in temperatures. Cities such as Atlanta, Georgia and Jackson, Mississippi will see low temperatures Monday, getting down to the 30s.

Reported by the Daily Caller beforehand, severe weather rolled through the Tennessee and Ohio Valleys, producing a Tornado Watch, hail and strong winds Friday in Tennessee — no tornado was confirmed.
