Who said Sun Belt football was boring?!
A wild brawl erupted Saturday between the Texas State Bobcats and Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns (what a great name), poppin’ off around the end of the contest into the postgame festivities. Things actually sparked up in the last few plays of the contest and carried all the way over to the tunnel.
In total, Texas State and Louisiana have played each other 13 times, with their first meeting being in 2013. Since that time, it’s been nothing but utter domination by the Ragin’ Cajuns, winning all 13 games for an undefeated 13-0 record against the Bobcats.
That 13th win came Saturday, with Louisiana getting a three-point 42-39 victory after holding off a comeback attempt in the fourth quarter by Texas State. (RELATED: NCAA Investigation Finds Numerous Basketball Players Allegedly Tried To Rig Games, Share Information With Gamblers)
This is around the time when things started to get violent.
According to people who were at the game per BroBible, Bobcats players were shoving Ragin’ Cajuns players during the last few plays of the contest. When Louisiana went into victory formation to end the game, that’s when Texas State players escalated things by throwing punches.
When we got to the postgame handshakes, things ratcheted up even further — this time into a full-blown brawl.

Texas State players started a HUGE brawl as they lost to Louisiana 42-39.
UL’s Coach Des in the post-game media said this was “completely classless and embarrassing on [Texas State’s} part.”
He did say a UL player was injured in the tunnel as TXST continued the fight up there. pic.twitter.com/kWkKoK1Ft6

Kinda funny how the Ragin’ Cajuns are the Ragin’ Cajuns, but it was the Bobcats who were the ones ragin’ to cause this whole thing.
