- Strategy. Dinsmore said this wouldn’t be ready until after Christmas, but he was looking at skills on content creation and which channels to use…
- Prioritisation.
Dinsmore also took questions during which he said “the symbiotic nature of structured media and government is well established” and “rubs along well.” He added that every newspaper is also now a broadcaster…
The PermSec added that he was “really pleased” to have old Blairite Tim Allan running communications in Downing Street as he has “known Tim for a long time” but had never worked with him. Dinsmore added they were “already talking regularly” about comms and he would “go back to him in a couple of months with ideas about the grid” and how it causes issues between departments and No10. Dinsmore said only 26% of the population has a moderate or high level of trust in government compared to the OECD median of 39% and that he would aim to “significantly improve” that figure. He said that was the KPI for the job. Put ‘improved trust in government’ on all your 2029 bingo cards…
