The British Columbia Coroners Service launched an investigation into the death of 33-year-old “Gotti” actor Spencer Lofranco, according to reports.
Lofranco passed away Tuesday at the age of 33, and the British Columbia Coroners Service confirmed Friday that it is investigating his death, the Los Angeles Times reported.
TMZ reported Thursday that the outlet learned his death is under investigation in British Columbia, Canada.
His death was confirmed by his brother Thursday on social media, but he declined to share information about the circumstances surrounding the star’s death. It’s not clear what Lofranco was doing in Canada, or why Canadian officials deemed it necessary to probe his death.

“My brother. You lived a life only some could dream of. You changed people[‘s] lives, and now you are with God,” Santino Lofranco wrote in a Facebook statement shared Thursday morning.
“I will always love you and miss you Bear. RIP,” he stated.
Lofranco acted alongside John Travolta in “Gotti,” and he had a role in Angelina Jolie’s Oscar-nominated film, “Unbroken.” Other credits to his name include “Dixieland,” “King Cobra,” “Home,” and “Jamesy Boy.”
