Campbell Soup Company vice president Martin Bally was reportedly caught on tape mocking his company’s “shit” food in a racially charged tirade.
Former Campbell employee Robert Garza claimed to have secretly recorded Bally while he unleashed on the very brand he represents, mocking the “poor people” who buy them and calling Indian co-workers “idiots,” the New York Post reported, citing a Wayne County Court lawsuit filed Nov. 20. Garza alleged the shocking rant unfolded amid a salary meeting late in 2024.

Garza claimed the hour-long experience included Bally’s confession that he sometimes came to his job high and left him feeling “pure disgust,” for the Campbell VP.
He alleged that he flagged the concerning exchange by reporting it but, in a shocking twist, he was the one to get fired, according to the New York Post.
Garza noted the details of Bally’s alleged rant against the very products he oversaw in the lawsuit. “We have shit for fucking poor people. Who buys our shit?” Garza claimed the VP said.
“I don’t buy Campbell’s products barely anymore,” he allegedly said. “It’s not healthy now that I know what the fuck’s in it.”

Garza alleged Bally slammed the ingredients in Campbell’s soups by saying, “Bioengineered meat — I don’t wanna eat a piece of chicken that came from a 3-D printer.”
His rant allegedly evolved into a full-blown racial attack. “Fucking Indians don’t know a fucking thing. They couldn’t think for their fucking selves,” he said, according to the lawsuit.
A Campbell’s spokesperson told the outlet that Bally is “temporarily on leave while we conduct an investigation.” However, Garza had a different perspective on the matter.
He told Local 4 News he was stunned when he was let go.
“He has no filter,” Garza said while speaking of Bally’s alleged behavior. “He thinks he’s a C-level executive at a Fortune 500 company and he can do whatever he wants because he’s an executive.”
He noted he first kept the alleged audio recording to himself but decided he needed to speak up weeks later.

Garza said he went to his manager to report Bally’s alleged behavior. Attorney Zachary Runyan, his lawyer, alleged he was let go 20 days later.
The attorney told Local 4 that Garza “reached out to his supervisor and told the supervisor what Martin was saying, and then out of nowhere, my client was fired.”
“He was really sticking up for other people,” Runyan added.
The lawsuit alleged he was fired on Jan. 30 in retaliation for reporting Bally’s alleged behavior and claimed the firm produced a racially hostile work environment. (RELATED: Unearthed Video Shows Bill Belichick’s Girlfriend Jordon Hudson Making Fun Of Staff)
A Campbell Soup Company spokesperson issued a statement to Local 4 late on Nov. 20, saying, “If accurate, the comments in the recording are unacceptable. They do not reflect our values and the culture of our company. We are actively investigating this matter.”
