The latest Home Office figures show the number of asylum seekers in hotels has gone up since last year, as has the number receiving support. Smash the gangs!
At the end of September, there were 111,651 people taking asylum seeker support, 2% higher than last year. There were 36,273 in asylum hotels, up 2% on last year and up 13% from June’s figures. Meanwhile, Labour can’t even say many hotels they’ve actually closed, despite promising to close them all by the end of the end of the Parliament. Better hope Shabana Mahmood’s immigration ‘overhaul’ makes a difference…
