I was born in 1999 to a mixed family in Northern Ireland – one parent Protestant, the other Roman Catholic. I was raised Roman Catholic and was the first person in my household to end up truly embracing Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour.
It was a worrying time for my family when I was born because I stopped breathing in my mum’s arms. My mum’s sister was there in the labour ward and my mum said to her, ‘Run! Quick! Get the midwife – he’s stopped breathing!’
My aunt thought Mum was joking until she looked round and saw that I had indeed stopped breathing. She ran and got the midwife, and my mum resuscitated me in her arms.
