Per the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the GHSA is investigating the situation, and have not yet announced penalties for Gainesville or Carver-Columbus.
This marks the second incident in just weeks that involves the Red Elephants, this becoming the case after the school’s traditional football team was part of a sideline-clearing brawl during the Class AAAAA second round playoff game against Brunswick.

I don’t know what the hell is going on in Gainesville, Georgia, but what a headache this has to be to deal with if you’re the athletic director of the school. Not only did you have two massive brawls, but both went viral into the national media.
That’s rough, man. But at the same time, control your damn kids.
