Fans Believe Raiders-Broncos Game Was Rigged To Cover Spread After Funky Ending

What on earth? … I can’t even blame fans.

A ton of fans are calling for an investigation into the questionable ending of the game between the Las Vegas Raiders and Denver Broncos.

The Broncos defeated the Raiders, 24-17, in a contest that was more lopsided than the final score indicates. Denver entered things as 7.5-point favorites.

The way the game finished left a lot of fans convinced that several people on the field were doing everything possible to cover that spread in favor of Vegas. (RELATED: ‘Farce And Total Waste Of Time’: Notre Dame Pulls Incredibly Weak Sore Loser Move Amid College Football Playoff Drama)

Denver faced a 4th-and-4 situation at the 28-yard line, but instead of kicking a field goal that would have pushed the lead to 13 points and covered the 7.5-point spread, the Broncos ran the ball for no gain. On its own, the call is aggressive, but defensible. In light of everything that followed, however, it feels like the opening move of something incredibly shady.

The Raiders took over with under 30 seconds remaining. After spiking the ball to stop the clock at 0:16, Las Vegas quarterback Kenny Pickett hit wide receiver Tyler Lockett to pick up huge yardage — normally the kind of play that would run the clock out to seal the game.

However, a delay of game penalty was for some reason called, letting the Raiders get lined up to kick a field goal as the game ended, which in turn covered the spread in the direction of Las Vegas.

It didn’t take long for fans to start questioning things, all led by an epic rant from Barstool Sports founder David Portnoy.

Notre Dame openly rigging the College Football Playoff and now this … what the hell is going on with the game that we love?
