Barron Trump, the youngest son of President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump’s only child, is “very close” to accepting Jesus as his savior, according to a well-known pastor.
On a recent episode of influencer George Janko’s podcast, Stuart Knechtle, a famous TikToker and the assistant pastor of Grace Community Church in New Canaan, Connecticut, said he had a 12:30 a.m. call with the 19-year-old first son, with whom he discussed his faith.
Knechtle told Janko he felt he was making a good case for Christianity during his call with Barron, but, he admitted, “[A]t the very end, I came up pretty much totally open-handed with nothing. But I brought up dreams and revelations.”

“He’s very close to putting his faith in Christ, very close,” Knechtle said on George Janko’s show.

It was the pastor’s last-ditch effort — bringing up testimonies of Muslims who have converted to Christianity after Jesus appeared to them in dreams — that fascinated the president’s son.
“I said, ‘Hey, look, Barron, I usually don’t go by this typically as evidence, but I have a friend over in Africa who witnesses thousands of Muslims coming to Christ through dreams and revelations,’” Knecthle recalled. “‘How do you explain that?’”
The preacher said Barron thought those accounts raised “a very, very interesting point.”
“And that was the only thing that stuck with him,” said Knechtle. “And he’s very close to putting his faith in Christ — very close.”
Knechtle argued there is something appealing to unbelievers about radical conversions through dreams.
“People who are not believers see them and say, ‘Wow, OK, there could be something to that,’” he said.
Janko responded to the pastor, saying he hopes Barron does surrender his life to Jesus. Knechtle, for his part, replied, “That would be huge.”
The revelation about Barron comes a few months after President Trump seemingly quipped his work to broker a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia could help him earn a place in heaven when he dies. That comment prompted concern among Bible-believing Christians, who worried the president believed he could earn his way to salvation.
Then, in October, the president said aboard Air Force One he was joking and questioned whether he could get into heaven at all.
“I don’t think there’s anything going to get me in heaven,” Trump said. “I think I’m maybe not heaven-bound. I may be in heaven right now as we fly in Air Force One. I’m not sure I’m going to be able to make heaven.”
Trump spoke with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham in mid-November, telling her once again he was just joking. Ingraham, who is Catholic, reiterated to the president anyone who accepts Jesus as his or her Savior can enter into heaven, as it’s written in Acts 4:12, “There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved” (NLT).
Please continue to pray for the salvation of both President Trump and his young son, Barron.
