This interesting, readable, and experiential book seeks to restore the joy and wonder of the supernaturalism of Scripture. Rightly concerned by the damage of treating God’s Word as just another text, it seeks to restore a higher view.
Its authors are often positive. The most polemical chapter is an appendix. A final crescendo of joy includes encouraging chapters on the Holy Spirit (William Macleod) and a believer’s response to Scripture (Neil Pfeiffer).
JP Thackway states that the authors ‘are one in our love for, and adherence to, the Bible in the Authorised Version.’ This is evident throughout.
