Andy Dick Reportedly Overdosed On The Streets Of Hollywood

Comedian Andy Dick was reportedly found slumped over on cement stairs outside a Hollywood building Tuesday after suffering an apparent drug overdose.

TMZ reported December 10 that the troubled comedian was found in a troubling state in broad daylight. Eyewitnesses told the outlet that several of Dick’s friends ran up to him and attempted to revive him with one shouting for him to “wake up.” Others called for an ambulance, and a quick-thinking bystander shouted for someone to grab Narcan – a life-saving medication that reverses the affects of opioid overdoses.

Someone administered the shot as the famous comedian lay on the ground.

TMZ shared images of Dick with his signature glasses lying on the ground in front of him, next to a beverage as people around him attempted to save his life.

A representative for the Los Angeles Fire Department told the outlet that they responded to the location after receiving a call for an overdose involving a 59 year-old man. The spokesperson said the man was not transported to a hospital. The Los Angeles Police Department was also dispatched to the scene.

It’s unclear if Dick refused medical treatment after regaining consciousness.

He spoke with TMZ Tuesday night assuring fans that he is alive and well and relieved that he’s ok. He reportedly refused to elaborate on what happened.
