Dazed Florida Man Claims He ‘Teleported’ Into Stolen BMW Before 100-MPH Crash [WATCH]

A Florida man who deputies say crashed a stolen BMW at extremely high speed told responding officers he had “teleported” into the vehicle, according to bodycam footage released by the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, as reported by Fox News.

Deputies said 36-year-old Calvin Curtis Johnson was found bloodied and dazed beside the wrecked car after the crash in Volusia County.

When questioned about how he ended up behind the wheel, Johnson repeatedly insisted that he had suddenly appeared inside the BMW.

“I don’t know how I got in the car. I teleported or something,” he told a deputy. When asked again where the vehicle came from, he responded, “I don’t know. I teleported.”

According to investigators, the BMW had been taken from Bicentennial Park in Ormond Beach. The owner told deputies he had left his keys inside a closed cupholder while walking his dog.

A witness at the park said he noticed a confused-looking man approaching the vehicle before getting inside. “He kept asking for a light,” the witness recalled.

“I thought, how does he have a BMW if he doesn’t even have a lighter for a cigarette?”

A bystander who witnessed the crash reported the vehicle appeared to reach speeds of up to 130 mph before losing control. Emergency personnel had to cut Johnson from the wreckage, according to the witness.

Bodycam video showed several onlookers reacting to the incident as deputies secured the scene. Some shouted at Johnson before walking away.

While being handcuffed to a patrol vehicle, Johnson told deputies, “You saved me from the aliens!”

Authorities said Johnson was transported to a hospital for treatment and will later be booked into the Volusia County Branch Jail. He faces charges including grand theft of a motor vehicle and driving with a suspended license.

Deputies used the incident as a reminder for park visitors to secure their vehicles and avoid leaving keys accessible while unattended.
