Pat Kelsey Goes On Such Epic Rant That He Might Have Single-Handedly Saved Louisville’s Economy

Whoever hired this guy, give that man a raise, because this is an absolute gem.

Saturday afternoon, the Memphis Tigers took a trip to Kentucky where they faced off against the No. 11 Louisville Cardinals at the KFC Yum! Center. The Cards would go on to dominate the Tigers, 99-73, in the college basketball contest, but that’s not what I’m here to talk about.

Rather, it’s what happened before the game that’s the most interesting element.

During a press conference, Louisville head coach Pat Kelsey ended up going on a rant, and holy moly, was it epic.

The skipper wanted fans to show up in full force for the game, so in his own unique way, he issued a demand to the base to do so, even telling fans that he doesn’t care how cold it is — come on down! “We need you! Get out of your comfort zone! Because we’re getting out ours! Because we’re playing a really good team!” yelled an excited Kelsey. “Hey, schedule Memphis! Hey, schedule Cincinnati! Schedule the Lakers! Schedule the Celtics! Done!”

And then Kelsey ratcheted things up, to the point where this man might single-handedly save the economy of Louisville.

“Get down to the Yum! Get there early! Get in the restaurants! Get in the bars! Because you know what, that helps Louisville too. That helps our economy,” declared the ball coach.” Go get some lunch! Go get a couple beers!”

From there, Kelsey told fans that he wanted them to be a factor during the game, once again telling them, “we need you!”
