Police Investigating Two Bodies At Director Rob Reiner’s Mansion

Law enforcement found two people deceased at the home belonging to Hollywood director and actor Rob Reiner.

Multiple law enforcement sources told NBCLA that firefighters found the bodies of a man and woman Sunday at a Brentwood mansion. Neighbors told the outlet Reiner lived in the home with his wife, and property records indicate they own the home, according to NBCLA. Their identities and the circumstances of the deaths have not been confirmed.

Los Angeles Fire Department medics were called to the home on Chadbourne Avenue at around 3:30 pm, and within minutes, LAPD officers were also dispatched to the residence for a report of an “ambulance death investigation,” which is the terminology used by firefighters upon the discovery of a death, according to NBCLA.

The Los Angeles Fire Department told the outlet that a man and a woman were found deceased inside, approximately 78 and 68 years old.

NBCLA reported that LAPD Robbery Homicide Division detectives were assigned to the case and are currently investigating. Several other LAPD officials said they were aware of the investigation but could not publicly disclose further information.

A significant police presence was reported at the home Sunday evening.

LAFD paramedics were called to the home on Chadbourne Avenue around 3:30 p.m.

Reiner is a respected actor and director credited for creating several classics and cult comedies. He first gained fame in Hollywood as an actor playing ‘Meathead’ on “All in the Family.”
