Internet Explodes After Trump Unleashes On The Late Rob Reiner

President Donald Trump’s comments about the late Rob Reiner ignited the internet Monday.

Trump didn’t hold back in a post shared on Truth Social shortly after the actor and his wife were found allegedly murdered Sunday. Their son, Nick Reiner, was reportedly taken into custody in connection with their deaths. (RELATED: Rob Reiner’s Son Reportedly In Police Custody In Apparent Double Homicide Investigation)

“A very sad thing happened last night in Hollywood. Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away, together with his wife, Michele, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS,” Trump said.

The president was not yet finished.

“He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness, and with the Golden Age of America upon us, perhaps like never before,” Trump wrote, before concluding with the words, “May Rob and Michele rest in peace!”

The internet had opinions and quickly made them known.

The majority of the responses criticized Trump’s approach and timing.

“This is a family tragedy, not about politics or political enemies,” Republican Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene wrote in a post on X.

Piers Morgan chimed in to say, “This is a dreadful thing to say about a man who just got murdered by his troubled son. Delete it, Mr President.”

Maria Shriver, a friend of Reiner and his wife, slammed Trump on X.

“I try to rise above the noise all the time, but this individual has no human decency. This goes beyond. It’s absolutely disgusting,” she said. “We should all be horrified and disgusted by this inhumane behavior, because that’s what it is.”

“What kind of human being would share a statement like this, much less a president? Rob and Michele would tell me to just ignore him, but I can’t. I just can’t,” she continued.

Trump took a few hits on the internet, but some supported the president’s comments.

George Santos weighed in with full support for Trump’s post.

“All of you saying @POTUS should delete this are tone deaf!,” Santos wrote. “Are these words nice and fuzzy? No. But this man has been almost killed because of the rhetoric that people like Rob Reiner has spewed.”

Santos continued, “Rob Reiner would be celebrating alongside many Hollywood elites if it were potus who was killed…manny mocked POTUs when he was shot at in Butler with some saying ‘to find someone with better aim next time.’”

Political strategist Walter Curt also threw his support behind Trump’s statement.

“Let me translate this post from President Trump on Rob Reiner for you: May God bless my enemies, because I f***ing won’t.” — DJT” he wrote.
