Donald Trump Jr. Makes Major Life Announcement at the White House

Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson announced their engagement Monday night during a White House Christmas reception, confirming that the couple plans to marry after roughly a year of dating, as reported by The New York Post.

The engagement became public shortly after Page Six reported that Trump Jr. had proposed and Anderson had accepted. The couple addressed guests at the event after President Trump invited them to say a few words, marking the first public remarks from the pair following the news.

“Not often that I’m at a loss for words, because we usually do the ranting and raving really well, but this is a little different,” Trump Jr., 47, told attendees.

Video from the reception was later shared online by activist Laura Loomer. In the footage, Trump Jr. thanked Anderson for accepting his proposal.

“Thank you for that one word: Yes,” he said.

Anderson also addressed the crowd, describing the moment and the days leading up to it.

“This has really been the most unforgettable weekend of my life,” Anderson said. “And I get to marry the love of my life, and I feel just like the luckiest girl in the world.”

The announcement formally confirmed speculation that had circulated earlier in the day following media reports of the engagement. The couple has largely kept their relationship private since they began dating last year.

This will be the second marriage for Trump Jr. He was previously married to Vanessa Trump, with whom he shares five children.

Their eldest daughter, Kai Trump, is 18 and recently made her LPGA Tour debut last month. Kai is also expected to join the University of Miami’s women’s golf team next year. Trump Jr. and Vanessa divorced in 2018.

After the divorce, Trump Jr. began dating then–Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle. The two announced their engagement in 2020 but parted ways last year. Shortly after that split, Trump Jr. began dating Anderson.

Anderson, 39, comes from a prominent Palm Beach family. She is the daughter of the late Harry Loy Anderson Jr., who was once recognized as the youngest bank president in the United States and later became known for his philanthropic work in the Palm Beach area. Harry Loy Anderson Jr. passed away in 2013.

According to biographical details previously reported, Bettina Anderson attended Columbia University, where she graduated in 2009 with a degree in art history, criticism and conservation.

The engagement took place against the backdrop of a White House holiday event, placing the announcement squarely within the Trump family’s public and political orbit.

Guests at the reception included political allies, donors, and members of the broader conservative movement, many of whom congratulated the couple following their remarks.

Neither Trump Jr. nor Anderson has announced a wedding date. No additional details about the proposal itself were disclosed during the event, though both described the weekend as significant and memorable.

The engagement adds a new chapter to Trump Jr.’s personal life as he remains an active public figure closely associated with President Trump and conservative political causes.
