Nicki Minaj delivered a forceful message warning against placing political power in the hands of individuals who mock, silence, or seek to restrict Christian worship, arguing that such attitudes mirror broader patterns of persecution seen globally.
In remarks addressing faith, power, and intolerance, Minaj said she was disturbed by what she described as growing comfort among some leaders in criticizing or suppressing Christians in the United States.
“Truly feel that there are people out there who felt good about chastising Christians right here in our country, and it’s kind of really, sick,” Minaj said.
“We can’t let people like that be in power, you guys, that’s the truth.”
She said the issue should not be softened or dismissed, stressing that the stakes are serious.
“I can sugarcoat it and laugh and Kiki, but the truth is, I am here today to tell you guys that we absolutely cannot let people who have a problem with us worshiping God. We cannot have them in power. We cannot have them in power,” she said.
Minaj urged Americans to look beyond domestic politics and consider the treatment of Christians worldwide as a warning sign.

“All you have to do is look at what is happening in other places in the world. Look at what is being done to Christians all around the world, and ask yourself why people in this country that were in positions of power felt so comfortable to try to take our voices from us,” she said.
She argued that hostility toward Christian worship stems from fear and insecurity rather than moral authority.
“They were that afraid. They are that intimidated. They are that insecure. They are that small inside, that hearing us and seeing us worship God irritated them,” Minaj said.
According to Minaj, the presence of Christians exposes what she described as the moral failings of those who oppose them.
“Our spirit irritates them, because when we speak, they get shown up. When the truth walks in the room, the lies hide,” she said.
She said those who attempt to suppress religious expression do so because they do not want scrutiny of their own actions.
“They don’t come out willingly. You got to pry it out of them. They hide because they don’t want you or anyone to know who they really are behind closed doors,” Minaj said.
Minaj concluded by framing restrictions on worship as a reflection of deeper wrongdoing.
“Because even they know how evil it is to try to deprive people of worshiping God,” she said.
