The search for missing Texas teenager Camila Mendoza Olmos continued through the weekend as her former boyfriend joined family members, volunteers, and law enforcement in an expanding effort that now includes concerns she may have crossed into Mexico, as reported by The New York Post.
Olmos, known to friends and family as “Cami,” disappeared just before 7 a.m. on Christmas Eve. She was last seen outside her home in San Antonio, according to authorities.

The 19-year-old’s disappearance has prompted multiple search parties and a growing multi-agency investigation as days pass without confirmed leads.
Her ex-boyfriend, Nathan Gonzales, spoke to local media on Saturday while assisting in a community search effort. Gonzales said he remains committed to helping locate Olmos and supporting her family.

“They’re going through a nightmare,” Gonzales said of Olmos’s family during the search.
Gonzales told Fox San Antonio that he intends to remain involved until Olmos is found.
“So that’s why we’re all out here to support her family and be there for them, because not only do they need us right now. But they need the Lord Jesus to be with her and protect Cami because we know with the Lord that she’s gonna come back home,” he said.
He also described Olmos as a caring and selfless person.
“She’s a very loving person. She’s the person that always puts others before herself, and she loves everybody no matter what, and you know, this is just not like her because like I said, she’s just a loving person and would’ve never thought that something like this would happen,,”
“I’ll be here all day… We’ve been here for three days, going on four days straight, and we’re not going to stop until we find her,” he added.
Since Olmos vanished, Gonzales has posted photos of the couple on social media and shared flyers requesting help from the public as the search entered its fifth day.
The Bexar County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that Olmos had recently ended a romantic relationship.
Authorities described the breakup as amicable and said they are not operating under the assumption that her ex-boyfriend is involved in her disappearance.
Officials have also not confirmed whether Gonzales was the individual involved in the breakup and have not disclosed when the pair was last together.
Gonzales said he has cooperated fully with investigators. “I was willing to give any information that I can to bring her home. Because at the end of the day that’s what I want is to bring her home for her family,” he said.
Investigators have expanded the search beyond Texas after reviewing surveillance footage from the night Olmos disappeared.
Video reportedly shows Olmos, a Mexican national, searching inside her vehicle before closing the door and leaving the area.
Family members told police she left behind her cell phone, which was found on her bed, and only had her car keys and driver’s license. Authorities believe she left on foot.
The sheriff’s office has not ruled out kidnapping, human trafficking, or Olmos leaving voluntarily. Javier Salazar said investigators fear the teen may be in “imminent danger.”

Local authorities are now working with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Homeland Security to determine whether Olmos crossed the U.S.–Mexico border as the investigation continues.
