NYC Sex Offender Indicted After Alleged Online Death Threats Targeting Jews, Police, and Federal Officials

A New York City man with a criminal history that includes sexual assault has been indicted after prosecutors say he posted explicit online threats to kill Jews, members of the New York City Police Department, and federal officials, as reported by Fox News.

Nathan White, 54, was arraigned Monday in Queens Supreme Court on multiple charges, including making a terroristic threat as a hate crime, making a terroristic threat, and aggravated harassment in the second degree, according to Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz.

Prosecutors say the charges stem from a series of posts White allegedly made on his X account in November.

According to the indictment, the posts included repeated threats directed at Jews and Israelis, as well as law enforcement officers.

“Imma kill ALL you FILTHY Zionist!!! I CURSE ALL of YOU, and DEATH will come to YOU soon by ME MF!!!” White wrote in one post cited by prosecutors.

In another post, White claimed he assaulted an Israeli on a New York City subway train.

“I BEAT THE SH??!! Out of an Israeli on the NYC subway, how REAL is THAT, HUH??? Jews, SMD!!!” he wrote.

Prosecutors say White also threatened law enforcement directly.

“And THAT includes the FEDS & NYPD. I WILL KILL ALL YOU MF!!!” he wrote.

Additional posts cited in court filings included threats against individuals he said he might encounter in the city.

“If I RUN into ANOTHER Israeli in NYC ALONE in the DARK, YOU ARE DEAD MF!!! FACTS!!!” White wrote.

“Israel, the Zionist, the Jews MUST pay with their LIVES for their BARBARISM, people, FACTS!!!” another post stated.

The posts were later deleted, according to prosecutors. White was arrested by the NYPD on Nov. 10. At the time of his arrest, he was homeless and living in a men’s shelter, the New York Post reported.

“As alleged, the defendant used his social media accounts to issue explicit threats targeting Jewish and Israeli New Yorkers, in addition to members of the NYPD and federal law enforcement,” Katz said in a statement.

“At a time when antisemitic vitriol is rising at an alarming rate, we know that words of hate often escalate into real-world violence. This defendant has now been indicted on felony hate crime charges and I thank our law enforcement partners in the NYPD for their work on this case,” she added.

If convicted on the top charge of making a terroristic threat as a hate crime, White faces up to 15 years in prison. His next court appearance is scheduled for Feb. 19.

According to the New York Post, White has a lengthy criminal history.

He was convicted in 1987 of sexual assault. After his release, he was arrested multiple times, including a 2015 incident in which he was accused of choking a woman and dragging her to an ATM, where prosecutors said he forced her to withdraw more than $800 in cash.

The case comes amid heightened scrutiny of online threats and antisemitic rhetoric as law enforcement agencies continue to monitor social media platforms for signs of credible violence.
