Former FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino said Wednesday that his time in Washington, D.C., gave him plenty of new material for extended shows.
Bongino joined the Trump administration in February as FBI deputy director after Director Kash Patel selected him for the role. He announced in December that he will leave the bureau this month. Appearing on “Nightly Scroll w/ Hayley Caronia,” Bongino teased that his time in Washington left him with weeks of notes and enough material for extended shows.
“I took so many notes. Obviously, I can’t talk about classified stuff, you know, that kind of thing. But there’s a lot of stuff we can talk about and provide context and color and, you know, crush a lot of the black pill bullshit out there,” Bongino told Caronia. “You know, nothing’s happening. And also, yeah, exactly. I went there to jerk around. It’s so luxurious in Washington, D.C. So there’s a lot of stuff to talk about that I think it’s going to open a lot of eyes and a lot of ignoramuses are going to get shut down.”
Bongino said he plans to hit the ground running when he returns to the airwaves, warning that his first show could stretch on indefinitely as he unloads a backlog of material.

“But I’m going to need some help because that first show, that first show could go on forever. We’ll be two hours now, though. So two hours live, 10 a.m. to 12 noon, obviously. And we are ready to roll. I mean, I’ve got so much content bottled up [in] my head,” Bongino said. “Can I just tease one thing? Listen, guys, I’m an activist at heart. I just don’t want you to think that I’m going to come back and it’s going to be like endless, you know, FBI stories or complaining.”
Bongino said his return to broadcasting will include a lighter tone and a sharper political insight.
“But there’s stuff I missed, too, like the government shutdown. I could not believe, you know how bad I want to be on the air and say how, how the f*ck is the government shut down over Obamacare?” Bongino said. “And the Democrats are pretending this is their argument? Yeah, you dipshits passed this. It’s called Obamacare. It’s not called Trumpcare. Reagancare. The effing thing is called Obamacare.”
Bongino started out as a New York City police officer in the 1990s before moving into federal employment with the U.S. Secret Service, where he worked for more than 10 years. He later gained national recognition in conservative media through a weekend show on Fox News and by amassing a sizable following for his widely distributed podcast.
