But yesterday, the Health Secretary said the Prime Minister’s New Year’s resolution should be, and I quote, ‘to try to get it right first time’… My question is, does he agree?”
While Streeting squirmed Starmer said he was “determined to make it harder for people to work illegally in this country. And that’s why there will be checks. They will be digital, and they will be mandatory.” They won’t be what he said they would be in September, though…
Expect Labour to U-turn as much as possible in January to get all the dirty work out of the way. It’s a gamble…
