Barron Trump reportedly saved a female friend’s life when he contacted British police to say she was being beaten by her ex-boyfriend.
President Donald Trump’s son called 999 to inform U.K. police that he’d just received a FaceTime call from an unidentified female friend and allegedly witnessed her being assaulted, according to the Metro.
“I just got a call from a girl I know. She’s getting beaten up,” Trump said, according to audio of the call played in Snaresbrook Crown Court, the outlet reported. The call was conducted Jan. 18, 2025, at 2:23 a.m.
Trump allegedly provided his friend’s address to U.K. police while reiterating that she was in danger. “It’s really an emergency, please. I got a call from her with a guy beating her up,” he explained, according to the audio.

Body camera footage featured in court appeared to show when police asked the female if her ex, 22-year-old Matvei Rumianstev, was streaming during the alleged attack. Police said they’d been contacted by a person in the U.S. but did not identify the individual to her. The young woman allegedly then shared she was friends with Trump. The officers asked the woman if she could call Trump back and confirm they knew each other, according to the audio. Trump allegedly told her he had someone contact the cops and then told cops he witnessed his friend being assaulted.
“‘She called me. I picked up the phone expecting a nice hello or something. I just saw a ceiling and could hear screaming. I could see a guy’s head on the phone, and then the camera turns to her crying and getting hit,’” Trump said, according to the audio.
The young woman said Trump “helped save my life” during the same trial after Rumianstev’s lawyer, Sasha Wass, challenged her allegations, according to the Metro.
“He helped save my life. That call was like a sign from God at that moment,” she said. The young woman alleged to the jury she was “on my knees begging” when she received the call from Trump and had a chance to get back up.
The court heard that she was in a relationship with the accused for approximately six months when the alleged assaults happened. She alleged he attacked and strangled her after a dispute occurred. Months after, she claimed he sexually abused her. She alleged he raped her twice in November 2024 and hours prior to cops showing up on Jan. 18.
Rumianstev was purportedly jealous of the young woman’s friendship with Trump, the Metro reported.
Trump attends New York University as a sophomore, according to the Daily Beast. After completing his freshman year, he transferred to the university’s Washington, D.C. campus.
Trump is the youngest son of the president and First Lady Melania Trump. The elder Trump marked one year in office Tuesday since being sworn in for his second presidential term.
The Daily Caller contacted U.K. police, who did not immediately comment on the incident.
