Australian Open: Novak Djokovic Gloriously Puts Reporter In His Place After ‘Disrespectful’ Question

My man verbally pimp-smacked the reporter like it was nothing! Lord have mercy!

Novak Djokovic, the greatest tennis player of all-time, clashed with some clown reporter following his Australian Open walkover victory that propelled him into the semifinals. The moment came after the “journalist” suggested that Djokovic, a 24-TIME GRAND SLAM CHAMPION, has been spending his career “chasing” down his rivals. Huh?

The 38-year-old Djokovic made it past the No. 5 seed Lorenzo Musetti in quarterfinal action Wednesday, securing a semifinal showdown taking on two-time champion Jannik Sinner.

Despite holding the all-time record of 24 Grand Slam championships — as well as a record 10 Australian Open titles — Djokovic was questioned in his post-match press conference about how he was feeling in regards to him “chasing” legends Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal in his early career, and here in 2026, now “chasing” Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz in the latter period (RELATED: Left-Wing Chaos Continues At Australian Open As Different Liberal Reporter Presses Anti-American Questioning)

“I’m chasing Jannik and Carlos? In which sense?” interrupted Djokovic. “So, I’m always the chaser and never being chased?”

The reporter acknowledged, “In the meantime, you won 24 Grand Slams.” Djokovic smiled while saying in response, “Thanks, it’s worth saying that sometimes. Right?”

Djokovic then waited patiently for the reporter to complete their question prior to, as the kids say, “keepin’ it a bean!”

“Well, I find it a little bit disrespectful that you kind of miss out on what happened in between the times when I started ‘chasing,’ as you say, Rafa and Roger and now that I’m chasing Carlos and Jannik,” Djokovic shot back. “There’s probably about a 15-year period in between where I was dominating the Grand Slams.”

I don’t know what the hell has been going on with the Australian Open press this year, but holy hell, it’s been god awful.
