Carol Vorderman has declared she will “enter the political fight” this year. Brace, brace…
In an interview with the Telegraph’s lifestyle desk out today the TV star called Nigel Farage “the worst thing.”
“He’s the worst thing… He’s not an MP, he’s hardly there… This is a time where we all have to stand up and fight. People are going ‘politics isn’t for me’, well, it is when you need the NHS, when your police forces are diminished and violence is inherent for women and girls.”
If it needed spelling out she went on:
“I won’t forgive myself if I don’t step up. I’m coming back into the political fight later this year.”
As far as qualifications go Vorderman told the paper she has “about 10 news apps” and “checks them all four times per day.” Phew…
The Labour-adjacent star has long flirted with party politics. Vorderman was spotted meeting Bridget Phillipson in Parliament back in 2023 and threatened to stand for Parliament were Burnham to be Labour leader.
