Hornets’ LaMelo Ball, Charles Lee Smash Heads In Scene That Will Make You Cringe In Pain

At least the skipper called himself out for this … Lord have mercy.

Monday saw the New Orleans Pelicans and Charlotte Hornets square off, and during so, the latter’s star player LaMelo Ball smashed his head right into the one of his coach Charles Lee while both were chasing the ball, and ouch!

The 24-year-old Ball exited the court to receive medical attention in the locker room, getting treatment on a gash that was located over his right eye. (RELATED: Super Bowl Champion Scott Laidlaw Dead At 72)

“Stupid … coach,” said Lee following the contest, seemingly a bit anxious after the incident. He then went on to explain what happened in the wacky moment that was triggered by a loose ball.

“I took a play off and you’re not supposed to take any plays off,” added Lee, per OutKick. “I thought the ball was going out of bounds and I was going to save it from going into the stands and he was going to save the ball. We went head to head. Credit to him he didn’t yell at me too bad.”

You know how it goes though. Winning can fix any problem. And that’s exactly what happened here as the Hornets went on to get the 102-95 win over the Pelicans for their seventh consecutive victory.

Following the contest, Lee and Ball had fun about the whole thing, especially Lee.

They can say what they want, but let’s keep it a bean … we all know they both had a big bag of ice on their heads when they got home.
