Police Arrest Florida Teen After He Allegedly Set His Friend On Fire With Gasoline Can

Police arrested a 17-year-old in Ocala, Florida, earlier in February after a video circulated depicting him setting another teen on fire, according to a report from a local affiliate, WJCB.

Bradley Ming, 17, is heard yelling, “Do you want to get set on fire,” according to WJCB, which obtained the video and contacted local authorities. He then pours gasoline on another teen sitting in a chair who quickly became engulfed in flames.

The victim could then be seen running into a body of water to distinguish the flames. Other teens reportedly took the victim back to shore on jet skis following the incident. (RELATED: Police Charge Man With Murder After ‘Ding-Dong Ditch’ Prank Turns Deadly)

The incident occurred on the night of Jan. 10 to Jan. 11 in the Ocala National Forest, according to authorities.

The boy suffered severe injuries, including second and third-degree burns on his hand, back, legs, and thighs, according to WJCB. He was taken to a nearby hospital and then transferred to UF Shands Children’s Hospital in Gainesville.

The victim originally lied to his parents and authorities in attempt to cover for his friend, but after police discovered the video, Ming was taken into custody, according to the local report. Police reportedly charged him with aggravated battery and booked him into the Marion County Juvenile Justice Center.

The state of the victim’s health is unknown as of Feb. 5.
