500 years ago, William Tyndale’s landmark English New Testament was printed. In celebration of this, the Carey Conference in January focused on ‘the perfection and power of the Word of God’.
Stéphane Simonnin, a pastor in Brentford and lecturer at London Seminary, opened with a fascinating paper on Tyndale in 1526. He reminded us how vividly Tyndale’s translation still speaks: ‘For by grace are ye made safe through faith.’
