UFC Will Give Away 85,000 Free Tickets for White House Fight Card Viewing on the Ellipse Says Dana White

The UFC’s planned White House fight card is going to be a very small in person event on the South Lawn and a very large public watch party right next door.

UFC CEO Dana White said the promotion will issue 85,000 free tickets for fans to attend an outdoor viewing experience on the Ellipse during the company’s White House event on June 14. The main card itself is set for the White House grounds, but the public viewing plan is built around large screens and a festival style setup in President’s Park South.

“We’re ticketing 85,000 people and tickets are free,” White said. “We’ll announce how we’re giving them away soon.”

The June 14 show is being branded around the country’s 250th anniversary celebrations and is also scheduled on Flag Day, which also coincides with Trump’s 80th birthday, per multiple reports tied to the event planning.

What the event looks like
The way this is being structured matters: fans are not being invited onto the South Lawn in large numbers. Security and logistical planning have kept the on site crowd limited, with reports describing a much smaller footprint for the actual live fight setup and a separate large scale public viewing area on the Ellipse.

The watch party plan is being described as an experience rather than a simple screen in a park. The UFC’s public setup is expected to include large screens, live music, and fan activities around the viewing area.

Why “free tickets” is still complicated
“Free” does not mean walk up. White said details on distribution will be announced later, and the fact that the UFC is ticketing 85,000 people strongly suggests a controlled process rather than a first-come, first-served crowd.
