Team USA Paralympic Sled Hockey Wins Gold Medal After Sweep Over Canada

The United States has once again taken out Canada in the Olympics to win a gold medal, with this piece of jewelry coming at the Paralympic Games.

Following a 6-2 win Sunday against Canada in men’s Paralympics sled hockey, the Americans brought home the gold.

As a result of the victory, the U.S. is now the first nation ever to rack up five straight Paralympic championships. We’re also the first country to sweep the three Olympic and Paralympic hockey events during one tournament. The Milan Cortina Games men’s and women’s hockey squads brought home their gold medals in February, with both getting overtime victories against Canada to do so.

However, the Paralympics sled hockey game only needed regulation to get decided, with the United States seeing Jack Wallace tally three goals and one assist to get the dub against Canada.

“This team is so special,” said Wallace to NBC following the victory, which finished his third Paralympic Games, per Fox News. “We love each other. This team grinded it out, a gritty f*cking game. It was unbelievable. I love these guys so much.”
