Nebraska Basketball Fans Rewarded With Free Limited-Edition Beer After First-Ever March Madness Win

What a way to celebrate a victory!

I mean, seriously, if you’re a Nebraska fan, you couldn’t find a better way to swim in the glory of the Cornhuskers’ first-ever March Madness victory than scooping up limited-edition Nebraska x Bud Light beer from au unlocked fridge — an unlocked fridge that was unlocked because of the win! The fridges were placed at local bars around Lincoln and Omaha.

The Cornhuskers accomplished a lot Thursday, getting the first-ever NCAA tournament win over Troy, which triggered fans to be able to receive free beer. (RELATED: Colts Sign Notre Dame Basketball’s Carson Towt With Intention Of Turning Him Into Tight End)

Courtesy of Anheuser-Busch, several locked refrigerators were put in bars across the state of Nebraska, and the only way the chains were coming down was if the Huskers could get a historical victory.

And that’s exactly what they did, with Nebraska beating the Trojans to get their very first dub in March Madness. All up, the Cornhuskers were 0-8 going into the Troy game … they can make it 1-8 now, and enjoy a nice cold beer while at it.

Damn, I love this time of the year. As I write this, I’m watching March Madness on YouTube TV using the multi-screen option. Four games at one time. This is truly American culture at its peak.

Somebody needs to hook me up with a limited-edition University of Miami beer, and I’m set.
