Team USA Dominates Fanatics Flag Football Classic Despite Tom Brady Looking Like The GOAT, Per Usual

At first, it looked like legendary quarterback Tom Brady was going to have a dominating day, but it ended up being Team USA taking away the shine.

In his first play in an actual competitive football contest in over 1,000 days, Brady shot off an immaculate touchdown pass to wide receiver Stefon Diggs, hitting him at the corner of the end zone.

Brady, despite being 48 years old, showed off some incredible skill by avoiding being sacked during a free rush play, and then followed that by stepping up and delivering a smooth touchdown after he replaced Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, doing so in a fourth-and-goal situation on the game’s opening drive. Afterwards, Brady threw a looker of a pass to ex-teammate Rob Gronkowski to get a 2-point conversion, putting his team up 8-0 against the United States at the Fanatics Flag Football Classic.

From there though, it was all Team USA. Gronk would get hurt after injuring his hamstring, and then in the aftermath, Brady and his teammates, who were led by Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton, couldn’t hold with the Americans.

The United States smashed Brady and Founders FFC, 43-16, after crushing Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow and Wildcats FFC, 39-16. Wildcats FFC would clip Founders FFC, 34-26, in their contest in the round-robin tournament.

In the championship game, the Founders had a better performance, but Team USA still walked away with the 24-14 victory. The Americans were incredible in the tournament, scoring on every single possession in their three games with the exception of one when they took a victory knee.
