Demonstrations tied to the “No Kings” movement escalated into violence in several major cities on Saturday, with confrontations reported in Portland, Los Angeles, and Dallas.
At the same time, a separate gathering near Mar-a-Lago in Florida drew attention for unusual behavior, as reported by The New York Post.
The protests, which drew thousands of participants across the country, were organized in opposition to the Trump administration’s policies, including immigration enforcement and the Iran conflict.

This is what ‘resistance’ looks like in 2026? A full-blown circus throwing a tantrum over a democratically elected president. Peak absurdity. pic.twitter.com/vOtoaDeUtD

Other individuals in the crowd were heard shouting “f–k you” toward pro-Trump demonstrators, some of whom were carrying flags and automatic weapons.
In Los Angeles, a large group gathered outside the Metropolitan Detention Center, where Department of Homeland Security agents were present.
According to a video posted by independent journalist Anthony Cabassa, protesters waved Palestinian and other flags while throwing cement blocks at federal agents.
The crowd also struck the fencing surrounding the facility and advanced toward officers.
DHS agents responded by deploying tear gas, and officers from the Los Angeles Police Department, outfitted in riot gear, were dispatched to assist.
Video footage showed individuals resisting arrest as law enforcement attempted to regain control of the scene.

Elsewhere in California, a confrontation unfolded outside Trump National Golf Course in Rancho Palos Verdes. Two men engaged in a heated verbal exchange, standing inches apart as tensions escalated.
One counterprotester wore a shirt reading “deport liberal white women,” while the other participant opposed his views.
According to KTLA 5, the situation nearly turned physical before the counterprotester stepped away, stating through a megaphone, “This guy is fighting for illegal aliens.”
Bystanders were heard shouting “racist, go home” during the exchange.
In New York City, tens of thousands participated in demonstrations, many focused on opposition to the Iran war and immigration policies. Among those present were actor Robert De Niro and New York Attorney General Letitia James.
During the New York protests, a group waving red hammer and sickle flags gathered near Times Square and chanted, “There is only one solution, communist revolution.”
Despite the large turnout, law enforcement officials reported no arrests connected to the demonstrations in the city.
Authorities across the affected cities continued monitoring the situation as protests unfolded, with law enforcement responding to incidents of violence, property damage, and confrontations between opposing groups.
